Fred Perry is not only the name of a brand. Fred Perry was first and foremost a championship-winning English tennis and table player who amongst other achievements won 3 consecutive Wimbledon Championships. In 1952, at Wimbledon of course, Perry introduced the classic Fred Perry tennis shirt to the world and it was an instant hit. The brand's logo, a laurel wreath, was inspired by an old Wimbledon symbol.
